Everything sold on Masjid Market raises money for a mosque in your city. That only works if buying and selling here stays honest, safe and kind. Six rules cover it.

1. Be honest about what you're selling

Photograph the actual item, flaws included — the listing writer points out defects on purpose, so leave them in. Describe the condition the way you'd want it described to you. If it's broken, say so and price it that way.

2. Price it fairly

The suggested range comes from what similar items actually sell for nearby. You set the price — just remember a fair price sells faster, and the mosque receives 100% of it either way.

3. Meet safely

• Pick a public spot in daylight when you can — a parking lot, a café, the mosque itself.
• Bring a friend if you'd feel better with one.
• Your exact address is never shown on a listing; share it only when you choose to.

4. Be kind in messages

Talk to people here the way you'd talk to a neighbour at the mosque door. No harassment, no insults, no pressure after a price is agreed. Report anything that crosses a line.

5. Show up

When you agree to a pickup, come, or say you can't as early as you can. No-shows waste a neighbour's evening. Unclaimed purchases are automatically refunded after 14 days, and repeated no-shows are treated like any other broken rule.

6. Keep it worthy of the cause

Nothing on the prohibited list, no spam, no reselling tricks, no using the platform for anything except what it's for: turning things you own into support for a mosque.

Reporting and moderation

Every listing, message and profile has a report option. Reports go to a person. Broken rules lead to removed listings and warnings; three warnings lead to suspension. If we get it wrong, request a review — a person reads every appeal.
